How do you insert your avatar to begin with? I would like to do that.

You need to have 10 posts on the forum before you are able to add an avatar.

After that you'll go to your Profile. Profile link is in the blue bar at the top of the page.
Then you'll click on Personality on the Left of the screen.
Check the box for use avatar and click change avatar.
Then you'll be able to upload your avatar.

Yup, try a page refresh and then a "forceful page refresh" by pressing both control and F5 buttons.
