Just woke up, made coffee, let dogs out on field abs Cooper’s group out on the field. Got my round pen set up yesterday. Sore from dragging the panels and standing them up. Neighbor came over and helped with the last 3. Then he cut dead pines out of the fence line. Now I got to clean up the mess, haul to burn pile, but field is too wet to take truck and trailer in. It’s 52F, sunny and high of 77F. Step counter says I walked 5.1 miles yesterday. Not quite a match for @Poka_Doodle ‘s 19 mile run. LOL

Good day all. I've been trying to get the garden ready and even got my camper tomatoes bought (I like to get the expensive big ones early when in the south) and in the camper. Yesterday I watched it sleet and snow in IA all day yesterday with a few days of freeze warnings. I think it's going to stay above freezing at home though.

My son spent one winter in Iowa, he said never again. He recently came in from that Oklahoma job, he stacked hay bales under and around his camper for insulation and warmth. It worked well to block the wind and cold. Now he’s in El Paso, didn’t take camper, it’s a short job.

I should've left the camper at home instead of bringing up here for a week. But If I'd have left it I wouldn't have had enough warm clothes, or I'd forget something. Plus I don't have to go home to pick it up for next week and drive back up 9 1/2 hrs to NE. My truck is always full without suitcases full of clothes. The back is just as full. I can put more feed in the hatch of the car than the bed of my truck.

Howdy y'all! Figured I should pop on and say hi, ran 19 miles this morning, we got some cold weather here, hope y'all are getting some nicer weather then we are!
Impressive!

It might very well be a match given the age difference and your knee replacement.

Right on schedule....RAIN!!! Hard stuff, winds, big thunder, a little lightening now & then. Of course, the new fence charger arrived. everyone is in a barn...I'm in house ...and the driver hit a 5 min pause to jump out and put on porch 🤗. Nice! So a morning job now. I'll be up early to allow fresh graze.

It's cool, plenty of air thru windows on porches, just open a little. Yep, cooking today. 72 now but dropping. 50 tonight. Bet that wet grass will crackle when I connect this thing tomorrow and they touch it. That's kinda cruel :hide touch & learn.

I’ve walked 5.1 miles 2 days in a row. Not likely today. Church this morning, usually slack off on Sunday. LOL

Coffee is ready! Day is dawning, I’ll be getting outside for chores soon.

Day has started....first cuppa coffee finished. Thinking I want pancakes 🤔 then outside. It's WET out there. 2"+ of rain into late last night. No dried grass yet. Makes for boots to do chores, tuck in jeans or bottom half of leg will be dripping wet. 👎

Too wet to do a lot. 😞. Glad I cut yard early yesterday.

Still lounging about, on last of coffee. Sheep must be lazy too, they are just standing up. Guess I’ll get dressed and go let Coopers bunch out while I’m gone to church. Then I’ll put them up and let the bred ewes and young ewes out. I seriously need more fencing! My lazy morning is over. Know what you mean about wet. Such heavy dew here that I’ve got to wear rubber boots.
