Coffee anyone ?

I checked -- it's middle of month. State veh inspections run out at end of any given month.

So WHY are all 5 inspection locations in my town booked out??? Like until the 1st?? One had a 3:45 NEXT Tuesday. Yes, apptmt.....and they want you to bring and leave until end of day :he. WTH????:idunno

There is a place near me ... down a little twisty road... just a little garage in the middle of no where... the last week of any month there is a line 1/2 a mile long all day long, and way into the evening. They will slap a sticker on ANYTHING. I went once with a top-to-bottom crack in the middle of my windshield and nearly bald tires. He pointed at the windshield and said that didn't happen until tomorrow, took my $ and gave me a sticker.
I felt so guilty knowing that I'd 'gotten away with it that I couldn't stand it and had it all repaired within a week.
 
There's a line week before and after here. But this is 2 weeks out!🥴

This also annoyed me today.....
started well...saw goats out of barn. Then, went out shortly after and "no goats"!! Walked to barn and when I tried to open the door, it was hard -- stuff holding it. Pushed and came face to face with 8 goats. In the feed room! IN THE FEED!! 😡🤬 I yelled, they ran out the door, save two I had to pull out of the turned over can, stuck. Yeah, not happy. That damned one opens the door by the handle.

Picked up. Glad I hadn't made a feed run -- what they ate were alf pellets and some pricey senior stuff, complete feed, so forage in it. Surveyed amounts and expect no founder, etc. But they laid around and relaxed while I installed another latch and clips they can't open. 😖😡😤


Tomorrow I'm going elsewhere to get inspect done while I'm off work. A reject on truck would be a bad start :lol: I don't "see" anything wrong but, I'm not the inspector. Everything works, so 🤞 there are limits but inspector moods can be an issue. WTH. :idunno if that happens you have 15 days to drive & correct. I wasn't aware that cops cannot issue a ticket for expired sticker until first day of 4th month after expiration.....🤫🤔. Really no need to stress, get it next month😁

I just found out about the no ticket until the 4th month after the expired sticker, also...... so from now on I will be gaining at least one month or maybe even 2.... and not worried about it at all anymore. Wished I had known as I might have let the explorer sit for another month before the expensive brake/caliper/rotor job on both rears.... and had the oil & filter changed and all and it uses a synthetic blend....
Since getting the new windshield in the forester, they have now backed off the change in the "Farm Use" tags for at least a year... so not in any rush to get it licensed or inspected now. Between the explorer $800 and the outback brakes & rotors on the back, 4 new tires AND the new Muffler system at a total of nearly $1200, that's 2 grand and the forester windhshield was nearly $400... I have spent a king"s ransom this year on repairs/maintenance....o_O:th:th:hit:hit:hit:somad:somad:rant:rant
 
There's also a 3 month save on state veh tags. Too many issues with that "farm tag" switch to resolve for farmers -- mid plant & harvest season, too. DMV downsized and issues couldn't be handled either. Look how long it took you for simply a title correction.🤔

This OTC farm meds and vets is going to be a nightmare -- coming soon, at a vet near you! 😡
 
Light rains overnight...roads and grass wet.😟 Supposed to get another 1/2 or more after dark tonight. Soooo working jobs today & tomorrow. :idunno

Did go to a drive up & wait shop. Inspection done😊. Off my mind now. Some other things I'd like to finish that easy. :lol:

Day #2 of waking up in the guest room and getting ready for work in the little bathroom. Feels WEIRD & somehow requires a double coffee to get the morning 'right' again.
Yesterday Eva was mooing up a storm and I found that Blossom had gotten out over night... Mama was wanting that big'ol udder emptied! Blessedly, the few times Blossom has gotten out, she doesn't even need to be caught, she's waiting at the gate to be let back in.
This morning all was quiet outside but I decided to check the barn just in case. Sure enough - there's Blossom waiting to be let back in!!! Little STINKER! I let her in and went on to work.
I haven't mentioned anything about her escaping to my guests because my Sis in law will WORRY herself half to death over it.
They were heading on to NC this morning and I get a call " OHMYGOSH!!! DEBBIE BLOSSOM IS IN THE DRIVEWAY!!!!! What do I do!?!?!?!"

I told he to walk in the barn and open the gate that she was feeding Blossom through last night - that she MIGHT follow and walk right back inside. Which she did.
They are terribly excited that they are now cowboys and that they got to catch a loose cow during their visit.
We're expecting rain this afternoon that will last straight through until tomorrow mid-day. Hopefully there will be a little break so I can investigate what's going wrong with the fence THIS time without getting soaked.

... bright side - I get to sleep in my own bed and use 'The Big Bathroom' again 🤣
But I miss them already🥺
 
Got half my coffee down already between Fen banking off of my stomach as I became part of his racetrack during an attack of the zoomies then the daily extortion began. It was a skivvie morning…
