1st coffee in - then switching to water all day (got dehydrated this weekend I think).
It was SOOO WEIRD to wake up in the guest room & get ready for work in the little guest bath. Family arrived yesterday to visit for a couple of days so they're in the 'master'.
I left them a note next to the coffee maker "Eva might be in heat. She was mooing ALOT early this AM. It's LOUD and annoying.... Sorry."
hahahaha - welcome to vacationing on a 'farm' 🤣

Coffee is ready. It’s 98% humidity, 69F degrees and will start raining around 10-12 noon. Got an inch of rain yesterday, ground is saturated from previous rains.

@canesisters for dehydration, mix 2 spoonfuls of sugar and half spoonful of salt in a glass of water. It forms an electrolyte solution and works better than plain water.

It's sunny but a brisk 53. Heavy wet on grasses, so goats are just looking out from barns -- wet feet¿? Nope!! The minis are trotting around, even kicking up there heels a little. Mid 70 will be what we get today...nice for outside work👍

Working on my usual coffee :caf fresh & hot comfort. Thinking I'd like pancakes but will probably have leftover chili from supper🤣. Better choice for nutrition.

I need to go have my truck inspected. Horn wasn't working, so DS finally checked and I ended up with replacing both little horns. $55. He installed. Happy mother's day to me. We checked over other things & thought ok but, ya know how inspections go:idunno"a matter of opinion" -- its definitely a this week job. Then done for another year. Car will be next.

Got gas at $2.93 & tractor diesel $3.09 this week👍 Makes $7 a gal goat milk sound absurd. But then, factory production costs, limited labor, transport, storage facility maintenance, all come into play :hide just like Exxon

Good Afternoon everyone!
I apologize for not getting on at all last week FH was on nights so things got messed up here. I was also dealing with a pup who a wound on his neck so he was inside with me during the day and separation anxiety quickly kicked in even if I got out of his sight for a few seconds. Now everything is back to normal until next Sunday when FH has to go out of town for 2 weeks (he'll be back on the weekends) for his employer. The first week he is out of town is going to be another night time job.

Foggy morning to start, made breakfast sandwiches for DH and me. Coffee had to wait o_O the fancy machine got "needy" -- got it working, but went out to graze for a bit and ready the barn for this afternoon's detection student. Got back to the house, snagged that coffee -- breakfast w/o coffee was sad. All is well now that I've had my cup!
55 today going to 74 - blue skies, though we had fog this morning it certainly does not feel humid at all.

Gulped down one cup finally taking sips between Fen’s thieving activities. No skivvies this morning, just my pain killers, a croc and the gift of several mud clods on my newly washed carpets while I wasn’t looking. Vindictive little pooch.
I think I wore him out as he had zoomies while I cleaned out planters and started trying to find my way into the tack room which DH has tightly stuffed hundreds of empty feed bags blocking my way to everything.
:he
There is good news…pig moved out of my garden and relocated to the other side of the rock wall!! Yay!! :flypig :woot
