We were 91 (66-91) today with a heat advisory. Humidity 71% early, 24% afternoon. All you back east I feel for ya, this is bad but nothing like you all are getting. Yes, I’m a weather wimp.

Good morning. Got up even earlier than usual to get a short walk in with the dog.
I can officially say that I'm not a fan of flashlight walks in my PJs. And we got stalked by the feral cat who hangs out on my back porch...???
Walking the wooded driveway, with a flashlight & a 70lb dog, and a 5lb cat is following us & growling.....
Unsettling

Coffee is hot & ready. Ice & extra cream if you'd rather. Or maybe try @Baymule syrup recipe...

Good mornin' CS and all others. I'll just have a drop of honey in mine. Stalked by the 5lb:lol:. Sorry it made me laugh. Have a good light show going on but barely got a sprinkle here. Looks like a decent rain south of here. Storm chaser just said lots of heavy rain, again it was south of me. Dew point of 78 today. Nice and tropical. The dew point affects the fell like much more than the humidity.

Up and having my coffee -- at a more normal time! :celebrate

Summer weather today, some rains Fri- Sat, if, when, maybe....those heat wave pop-ups. Late day stuff.

I've pushed my "re-start" button and not sure what I'll get to today. Chores and water tub checks first, a quick feed store run, give a friend a ride shortly, then ?? Need to get diesel while I'm out. Maybe more tractor therapy will happen 🤔

I'm sure things to do will appear!!

With all that rain around you, some of it has to fall on you eventually.
You would think. Lightning over us, then big storms after it passed us. Talking to my old neighbor the other day (12 miles as the crow flys) and mentioned I think he's gotten 1" more rain in each storm that just missed me for the last 4 months. I know they got a couple more inches during last years drought as well.

We seem to be having the same weather patterns as VA and @Mini Horses, except a little warmer. Heat index of 116f today then cool off to normal and chance of showers fri-sun, then back to triple digits. It seems lately every time VA gets some rain so does OK.

@CLSranch I hope you get a good rain SOON. :fl

Between the humidity and some nice rain showers, we're in a good place in Central VA.
I left a section of the yard unmowed a couple of weeks ago that was mostly clover - " for the bees"... Yesterday it was all I could do to shove the mower through it!
Locally there was a big 'No-Mow May' thing to let the bees get those early blooming things.... I kept saying it was a bunch of hoo-wie. Well. I left that section unmowed.. and the grass that was in and amongst the clover has gone to seed and shaded out the clover. Nothing left there but stalks and (now) clumps of mowed wet grass 'mulch'. The areas that I mowed - have continued to produce clover, dandelion & several other little blooms of various kinds.

Even when I do wear my c-pap it usually ends up being ripped off in a couple of hours.
I had that problem, didn't get any more sleep than when the apnea kept waking me up (though I didn't realize it). Fortunately the TAP 3 oral appliance works for me. No mask to pull off, no humidifier to counteract the dryness of the CPAP, no electricity.

OMG -- yeah I'd agree hoo-wie. Just something other people made up because they thought it was a good idea. Make up a saying and there you go. Makes one wonder why all of the sudden something needs to be done?!
