This is a dumb question but somehow I’ve never had this problem. One of the dogs threw down with a raccoon and had a bite on his shoulder that the vet shaved. It’s about the size of my hand. We’re expecting weather in the 20’s. Will that bare area get frostbite?

He can sleep in the barn with the sheep but he’s a notorious outdoor sleeper. Finding him covered in frost or snow isn’t unusual. He’s got quite a coat except for that area which is finally getting some peach fuzz.

Not presently but I can build something or bring him in overnight. I thought he wanted to retire and had him in the house. Then we moved and he apparently discovered the fountain of youth in the lower pasture. Lost weight, took on patrolling again and can he ever polish off a bowl of food. Plus yesterday the formerly aloof LGD stole my shoe and pranced around daring me to get it back.
Edit: I didn’t get it back. Had to fool him with food bowl.
