Coffee is ready. Fence guy coming this morning. I bought 4 more rolls of sheep and goat wire yesterday. We will take inventory of my supplies and see what else I need to buy.

Every Christmas she made rum balls. Vanilla dough, ground nuts and Bacardi.

That wasn't my Mom but she used to make Rum balls also every year for Christmas! You could tell they was rum in them just from the smell when she put her cookie platter on the table, would use just a "tiny bit (more like 1/2 bottle) more than called for (1/4-1/2 CUP) in recipe". I might just make some next year but I haven't decided yet seeing how I still have to finish getting through this cookie baking time for this year which is on hold seeing how I forgot to grab milk and heavy whipping cream at the store last weekend.

1/2 pot I just made I'm willing to share but no touch cookies on counter!!!!!

Fen has finished his breakfast. It’s pitch dark out. I am going back to bed, unless someone hands me some coffee…then I will drink it and go back to bed

I have in fact had two cups of coffee and fallen asleep 20 minutes later. I explained I had to wake up enough to go back to sleep.

Started the day with usual coffee & chores. Opened/closed some gates and headed a group of goats to where I hope to find them in the morning . I want/plan to work in the eliminated access area tomorrow for some clean up, adjustment of fence & easy access without their "help" for the day! I want to be able to tractor in & out by leaving gates open we'll see how that works.

Enjoying no job work -- just home time.

Grab a cup and the night turning into day, gotta make it through today then it's Friday and the weekend will begin.

28*, white & frosty this morning. I'm dealing, just not loving it. I smile and say, thank you Lord, it isn't worse and I'm able to handle it. Weather people say 22* tomorrow I'm being tested! Light coat of ice to break on troughs this morning...no biggie. Chores are done. And the goats were where I moved them no place new, just locked out of my "backyard" and the now back to machine shed. They have their usual, before, barn. It's warmer actually, not as open to wind.

Back in for my next cup. Just put a huge bird in the oven for it's day at the spa. Will be done about 3. Then phase 2 starts, slice, eat, package up. Lotta meat. Sharing some with DD. Prep some for heat/eat. Then carcass for more broth. Do I really need this yes, it's like a full hayloft feeling!

Have a short list but, need to dos. Sun is bright, temps cool but no wind! So, better get out there cause I don't see anyone else to help me

Thanks for the coffee. Beautiful morning here. I’m watching for lambs, noticing udders. We’re expecting rain tomorrow but not much. HVAC guy is due to check a non working furnace. Hope it’s something simple. Have a good day everyone.
