With about 8 feed sacks a month we are inundated with them, problem is any specks of feed are drawing mice in. Though at 8 mice traps they are all getting a mouse a by morning and pigs have snacks, nothing is getting wasted here now.
High of 20°F today and tomorrow so I don't know, might start the excavator up and bench down another 10' or I may just sit inside and design the well system with holding tank and price everything out. Good day to take a break.
I saw a mouse a week or so ago. Set out 7 traps, got 1 mouse that night & nothing since.
... is it possible that I only had 1 mouse???

Or you are baiting it wrong, they love peanut butter, also if you have the regular mouse traps they don't work. Need the ones with the cheese plastic on them, more leverage for them to set the trap off with little bit of weight they have.

Sounds like a symphony going on below us when we first put them out in awhile. Sitting here reading with the wife and they are going off like Mozart concert down below.

I put p-butter on those bumps in the middle of stickies & use if I see one inside. Rarely have any with multi once feral cats. One did get in 🤷about a month ago. Turns out it was a preg female, so she & 6 littles found the stickies. 😵‍💫 Following mama!

Good morning everyone! 😁

Just fed the cats and it's a COLD 29 out there -- wakes you right up!😳 Yeah, outta slumber mode! Fast!!

Having my hot coffee in hopes it will warm my entire body. Turned a heater on. What a shock the porch was 🥶 shortly I'll bundle up and get the crowd fed -- then off to work for a while. Back to farm mid day....when it's warmer.😐

It’s 57, drizzly high of 73 today. I’ll take that over the cold y’all have. I’ve got all my taxes paperwork done and ready for tax lady. I got sheep paperwork done and ready to mail off. I’m recording 10 ewes, registering 1 ewe, 1 ram, and recording and transferring ownership of the black ewe that’s going to @Margali. She’s up on her game better than me, she already did the paperwork on the ewe she is trading me for the black ewe. We are exchanging the hostages at the Katahdin sheep seminar April 13. Stalls open up at 3:00 on the 12th, my job is to be there when they open and stake claim to the 2 she has reserved. @Margali I can make signs to hang on the pens. What name did you reserve them in?

Anyway got all that brain drudgery work done and I’m ready to go out and play, but it’s a dreary drizzly day. Tomorrow is sunny and beautiful.
