So where the H*** have you been and what has been going on? Working that much???? Garden, animals?????
Need a DETAILED update.....  :gig:gig:gig
I was processing then, started shipping cattle, then starving and went to KC and back to welding pipe. They did most of the shipping on my first 8 days on in KC. Currently ammonia piping for a cold storage facility. Weird schedule of 8 on and 6 off so we actually work two 4 day work weeks in a row and get two 3 day weekends put together to there is time to get things done while home. Not the normal 60+ hours but still a good check and home every other weekend with the kiddos.
We've been mostly good but the kids have all just got a staff type of bacterial infection, 1 did turn into staff, now he's getting better and the youngest is catching it.

Coffee cup 1 down, going for another. 62 to 88 today. Hello September - typically our hottest month. Hopefully not to bad but time will tell. All ready for pups, but Ree is hanging on even when I say let them out, open that barn door! 🤣. No early warning signs so still waiting.
A friend gave me a bag of passion fruit so need to “juice” them and will use some for passion fruit custard and freeze the rest. Figs are finally coming in so I’ll stuff some with goat cheese, wrap with prosciutto bake and snack.

Order ready early, picked up and worked outside all day. Yep, me and Arnie moved about 2.5 ton of rock onto road, graded. Probably another 15 ton to go but, holiday weekend so everything closed until Tues. Welp, they have to drive & will be wet, muddy, both  I have it passable without getting stuck.👍

"Arnie" is a huge help!! One of best buys ever. (Tractor + Schwarzenegger😁)

Done, showered, ate dinner. I had a roasted chicken & Boston butt in oven early, so dinner was ready plus meals for rest of week. I'll strip meat & stew chicken carcass for broth. Supposed to rain a good drop tonight into morning. I'll make pulled pork BBQ tomorrow for freezer. Take it easy inside - weather!

I’m so glad to have found this site (years ago). I’m on a rocky road currently (and whiny) with my LGDs arriving at their expiration dates- Crockett hanging in but doesn’t look promising. We all go through tough times but it’s nice to have support from people who know the lifestyle.

We do know your pain and grief. Big hugs.
