Good morning.
:caf

Sitting here with my first cup. It's cool enough to grab a throw for my lap and legs, but expected high is 78° and sunny. I made arrangements to take the donations to the drop off trailer today, but I still need to mow the backyard sometime, and I need to get everything together for our mini vacation to the beach. My dh and I have been doing long weekend trips to the shore for years to celebrate our anniversary. I'm praying he can handle it, but if not I can check out early and take him home. We're only 2 hours' drive away.

Hey, she needs to teach @rachels.haven 's 3 kids for a while... she might rethink her career change... :hide :hide :gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig
My kids never destroy the world for other people. Everyone thinks they're well behaved, quiet, reserved and smart. (??????) Us parents get none of that at home. They probably won't help change anyone's decision.

It’s been a fun filled weekend. I helped my friend cater a wedding yesterday. I didn’t know there was such thing as a wedding coordinator, but this one sure could have used one. The bride was 35 minutes late coming downstairs and it just rolled along from there. My dog Carson has been exceptionally good with all these intruders in his home and yard. Friend brought her 2 dogs, her mom came and brought her dog.
She left yesterday, my friend and her daughter and their two dogs will leave this morning. Coffee is ready and I’m going to go get a quart of it.

Up at 5 this morning, finishing my Red Bull before I go run. Church after I run.
Took my horse down to Colorado yesterday to do some riding and he couldn't have been better. Really proud of the once anxious horse we bought last year.
Chilly temps here, finally Fall. Guess I should strap my headlamp on and start running.

I have gone to visit family many times, but never even considered bringing my dog. :\
My daughter and family take their dogs, did have 3, down to 2 now. I have a fenced front yard mainly for that reason and because I do not let my dog Carson run loose. He goes with me outside but if I leave, he goes in the fenced yard. My friend takes her dogs everywhere, the 17 year old weiner dog belongs to her 24 year old autistic daughter, so I get it. I would never take my dogs but they have work to do and probably wouldn’t be happy leaving the farm. Not to mention they would be like an angry tornado with teeth. LOL

Having a mug of decaf & trying to wind down from work. Was not a great night. ☹️ Need to shut off the dialog in my head & get some sleep before tonight's shift.
Had a HOT shower. Had a carb-ie breakfast. Snuggly warm with a couple of cats sharing the bed.
Think I'll try putting on an old favorite audio book & see if that will shush 🤫 my brain.

Spent all of yesterday away judging a scentwork trial. I had a bit of "missing puppies" - but truly was too busy to think much about them. Whelping box is coming down today. We only use it for them to sleep in at night - but during the night they have to "go" and climb out. It's quite a climb. They are all pretty persistent about keeping their immediate sleeping area clean - a good thing and probably very natural when you think about it. Guessing the same is true for all wild canines and others as well.
More pics, more training, more coffee, more coffee, more coffee
And Ol' Stripe looks even more like a beached whale - poor thing has to be twins in there planning a jail break soon.

The two Anatolians went on walkabout two hours ago. Can’t find them on the property so checking the woods north and west. Generally walkabouts last 1-2 hours. Don’t know how they got out, everything was ok all week. Sophie was the instigator I think. Damn I hope I don’t lose more dogs. :he
