Coffee is ready. Got to go get feed this morning. I’m going to buy another super bag, that means I’ll be bailing feed out of the big bag into 5 gallon buckets and dumping into metal trash cans. It takes awhile. But it saves me about $100 versus the 50# bags, so well worth it.

@SageHill i have not used the hoof boss but it is on my radar if I can stop spending money on other things long enough to buy one!

Ok...frost temps this morn. Going to 68  :yesss:

I'm not rushing out! Enjoying hot coffee first. I see goats are still in their barns, too. Smart.

Guess I need to get a turkey, or a ham from freezer to frig. We're getting rain for Thanksgiving. Inside day anyway -- cook, eat.

Six degrees this morning and all water and lines are frozen except what is in the root cellar. It's okay the pigs have hot fermented corn waiting on them as usual that's in a freezer with 100W heat lamp on a timer. Rotate 6 buckets at a time feeding 2 buckets a day.

Wonderful balmy walk this am then chilly blew in at noon. Caddo (aloha) Moses and Leo went for a boys power walk ahead of the sheep and weather shift. Then Moses went on a check on/laydown with grazing flock good boy!

This afternoon I fed the goats their hay and just sat and watched. ❣️ The pushers, the givers, the families....I can tell you that some of those svelte dairy girls will not take any crap from the big blocky meat girls. 😁 The younger, lower confident ones back off & go to another area of the feeder....but others sure stand their ground! Lot of babes in those bellies. Expect some will kid Dec, light bagging starting. Relaxation at it's best. 🥰

Coffee is ready. I didn’t get feed yesterday, they were out. But Carson got to ride to the feed store and run behind the counter to see his favorite lady. She took him to the basket of dog treats and gave him one, cooed over him, lavished him with love and attention. He loved her back with his version of a hug, laying his big head on her. They are getting feed in today and we’ll go back tomorrow. Today is a 8 AM to 8 PM delivery time for a new dryer that my son bought for me. They are supposed to call last night for a 4 hour window.

@Baymule While "8 hr" is a long wait time, it's worth it! :yesss: a dryer in winter is a real treat here.:D =D and another's $. Merry Christmas, early.

Warm out. Overcast. Front passing with most moisture north of me BUT may get some sprinkles. And rain Thanksgiving Day :idunno tomorrow eve I'll get all barn racks stuffed with hay. I changed out the floodlights above the barn feed room door yesterday. Knew one was burnt out, thought both. Tried the remote...at dusk...one light on & couldn't get either to go off/on. Yep, battery dead in remote. Little odd battery -- none here.🥴 Part of back yard was lit up all night  want a string of the lights in a tube anyway. I use in barns during kidding. Go buy.

So far, that's my plan for the day. May bake a cake :plbb

Going in long enough to straighten an exhaust stack and weld a broken fender bracket then I'm headed home to see if I can break the dump truck again. Going to try to squeeze 9 loads in and spread it with the loader in 5 hours, we are going for a record or breaking something trying to make it.

My alarm sang to me and I almost decided it wasn't worth going to the gym. Was super quiet, most classes are cancelled today and most everyone has gone home.
We were supposed to be hit by a storm about two hours ago, still just clouds outside. Reports are saying it is going to be a big one, wondering what will actually happen. Supposed to get my brother from the airport tomorrow morning and drive home. Not sure what will happen with that, if we get the storm they're forecasting, I might as well be hosting friends here because nobody is getting anywhere.
Guess I will head to the barn in a minute and make sure my gelding is set. And we will just see what happens.
