Morning all.. long night my youngest dd decided to swallow a battery yesterday she went to er and got an x-ray and it was located in her stomach. According to the Dr she should pass it with in a week. As long as she doesn't have any issues
So far this morning she is her bright sunny self. She eating and drinking an having no issues. We gave her honey right away and every 15 min after it happened before she got to the hospital which was let say they need better communication and person skills. Now dealing with her pediatrician and no one else. Won't go into alot of what the hospital did or said but they basically weren't going to do anything for her and just send her to another hospital to get watch that was 3+ hours away and they refused to keep my husband who took her So I kept calling and they gave me issues so long story short don't recommend them.

Called Dr again the nurse called back gave her a update she said everything sounds good she catch the Dr as soon as he leaves his current patient and get back to me about the next step. But the fact she going potty eating and drinking and acting normally they don't seem to concerned.

Well her x-ray schedule for Monday. She still doing very well. Going to be watching her closely. The Dr, poison control are both saying she should be fine. I just would like this over with.

Can you give her a laxative along with some psyllium capsules (adds bulk to poop) so she can poop it out?

Hate to interrupt this, but popping in so y'all know I am still alive.
It's Fair week here. I've been working most of the week, managed to go to the Fair Wednesday afternoon and all day yesterday. And I'll be back for the day tomorrow.
Still running a lot, brought my running stuff and went for a run at the Fair yesterday during my downtime, and then today during my lunch break at work, I ran in the heat (only 88 but still not fun).
Off to vacation for a week next week. Y'all have a good one, I'll see you guys when I'm back.

I love coffee - for me it's never too hot for coffee, but I don't like iced coffee or coffee ice cream.

There is a Vermont creamery, Stafford, that makes the BEST coffee ice cream! The difference is like "bottomless cup" diner coffee vs really good coffee. Sadly for lovers of such things, it is sold only in Vermont. Sadly for me, I have developed a lactose problem.

A truck was on the road shoulder with flashers on, I slowed down. Man was pulling a dead run over alligator out of the road, about a five footer. Whew! I sure was glad of that! Hitting an alligator would wipe out Roadrunner! Hahaha!

I had no idea there were gators in TX let alone near you!

They apparently also have a rule to where you can't fence fifteen feet from the front of the property or 10 ft from the back or five feet from either side.

So if everyone fences their property there is a useless 10' wide "alley" between the properties side to side and 20' back to back?? !!!!

Mornin all, coffee's on. Hope all is well. We're back in the triple digits for a while. It's been there with the heat index's for a while.
I've actually been throwing away (to the chickens) some tomato's lately. I keep meaning to eat them for a snack or dessert. Either I'm to busy for a snack or I eat to much dinner to have dessert.

Thanks for the coffee. No rain here, none in the 10 day prediction. I’m looking forward to October. That’s my favorite month of the year.

Sitting in my favorite chair, drinking my 'special weekend' Hawaiian blend coffee & doing a little passive dog conditioning & planning the day... probably some weeding. All those flower beds I put in in April & May have been neglected.
