We had an earthquake Saturday night... a short slam of an earthquake. Other people said they felt a build up... then the slam. :idunno

Starting school today... I little awkward... still have kid of my friend. Good kid though.

-hack, hack- my kids started a smoky fire today! They left a pile of wood by the door, got snowed on.... wet wood. :tongue

@Alaskan I'm not sure how far your son and his bride to be are into their wedding planning but if they can find "wedding events" in their area to attend it will help immensely plus there's LOTS of free stuff there and raffles they might possibly win. There is also online wedding websites (Wedding wire, Zola wedding, The Knot) to assist.

I think that would be fun...

I have to get some work done now... but maybe next week I will give a wedding planning update.

Ok.... slogging through my work load....

And... in the past I have always used TurboTax to do my taxes.

In the past, you would download it onto your computer.... work on it whenever... then when you were sure you were finished, then you could choose to file.

So, the only times you were connected to the internet... were:
1. When you first downloaded it
2. Every time you opened it, it would check for updates...
3. When you filed

But NOW, (from what I understand from reviews), you logon to an ONLINE account, and so all of your info is up there in cyberspace.... also, impossible now to use the one down load for multiple people. Because, you can only file under the one name that is on the online account.

So... I have been looking.... H&R block doesn't look any better. Also, eventhough it says it will let you put last year's info from TurboTax into H&R block software... reviews say that doesn't work, AND reviews say some forms are missing, AND reviews say the program will not let you change numbers that are automatically put into forms.

So....

I want a tax software like the OLD TurboTax. All downloaded onto my computer.....

Anyone have anything that they like?

Oh man! Why would TurboTax do that to us?! And in an election year too.

There's at least 1 cup remaining in the pot so it's first come first serve.
I'm thinking I'm doing something I said I wouldn't do if I ever got remarried and that's turning into a "Bridezilla" seeing how yesterday I sent out a text to all of the Bride Tribe with a link saying "This is the dress for the Bride Tribe. Yes, it comes in Sage"

All my ladies have different body shapes so I thought it would work for all plus it looks to be just a regular dress so if they wanted to wear it for another special occasion they could. I also did something else yesterday but FH doesn't know about that just yet, What do y'all think?
I ordered these

for him and I to the wear to the next wedding event we attend which will be in March. I've got the pass already and the best part was it was FREE!!!

Power outage -- we have that storm approaching. The winds are expected to be pretty significant, so might be a happening. Hope not but, preparing in case. Yep, head lamps & such, all charged up. Matches with candles, etc. We rarely have an outage. We are having rain most all day!!

Awakened about 2:30, feeling just a touch nauseous. 🤔But had coffee and thinking, some dry toast may be good 🫤 I had a bloody Mary last night, which put me to bed about 8. Haven't had one in years & feeling that's causative....prob won't have another anytime soon! 🤐

Gonna feed early, before rain hits, load barn racks while they're eating -- then inside until another morning. Gonna be a looong day. 😁

@Mini Horses that was my day yesterday. I got morning chores done while coffee was making. I went out at 4, thought storm was done. It wasn’t. Got chores done, fed dogs, left them out on field. It is so muddy in the pens, I thought dogs would be happier out in the grass. Started raining again, no shelter for dogs, so I suited up, went out and offered them the mud in Coopers pen, plus shelter and they took it. It stormed last night, power was off, but it’s back on now.

@Margali you should get a propane heater. The propane company will run a line for you, not free, but it will help on the electric bill. More importantly it will heat the house or at least the living area during a power outage. My light bill last month was $89. I set the thermostat on 66 on central heat. Without the heater, bill would be $250 to $300 during real cold weather. Once I get the living room and kitchen warm, I cut it down to the pilot light. Also, if you don’t have them, get some Tac lights. Pretty sure Harbor Freight has them.

@Mother Hen the bridesmaid dress looks real nice. I like especially that it can be worn for other occasions.

Coffee! Going for second cup. I hope it’s done raining. I’ll move ewes and lambs to front field this morning. It’s wet and soggy, but better than their pen.
