Fen let Boone in the house early this morning and he crawled up between us on the bed again, like a little toddler . I don’t know what to say. It IS like having a toddler around. Everything goes in his mouth, I can’t let him out of my sight or he’s into something. Fen tries to babysit for me but Boo throws tantrums and gets out of his control. Thank the good Lord puppies mature faster than humans! I don’t think I could take it for years instead of months.
Coffee tastes extra good this morning. That means he’s up to something! Last night he roared i to the living room with a dead kitten in his mouth. It had been dead for some time. He was very proud of it and wanted to babysit. Set it between his paws and snuggled it.
This boy needs a herd. 😬

Possum. Well, they are at least 2 mo old, because they are attached to a nipple until 7-8 wks, when they can release themselves and crawl to Mom's back. I'd say these aren't more than 2wks out of the pouch. Probably fell off the ride. So,they'll go to a rehabber, about 10 miles from me, where they'll be feed and returned to wild in a couple months when more ambulatory.

Interesting facts....they eat ticks, don't get Lyme, or rabies & are immune to venomous snakes (except coral) venom. Yeah, they eat them...even rattlers!

One is male, other female. 🤷 Both leaving. 👍

They also carry a disease that can be fatal to horses

Yep they sure can, the protozoa that cause EPM. And it's suspected about 1/3 may carry that -- but, who tested them 😳. Could be 10-90% ! It's passed in fecal droppings. A reason everyone -- including me -- doesn't want them around. It's pretty hard to 100 percent prevent their passing upon your property. 🤷 Another reason for my shock this morn. These came on mom!!
