Woke at 4:30, up about 6:30. Coffee made, sipping while sitting in my recliner. Ack. It's 20°, my flock will be thirsty, need to get dressed. As I head for the bedroom I had this fleeting thought about being quiet so I don't wake Ron.

That did it. 🥺

People tell me that they're amazed that I am doing so well. When I am consciously thinking about Ron I am fine. It's those subconscious thoughts that get me.

Thanks for listening. ❤️

:hugs my husband's thirty something year old cousin just unexpectedly lost her husband Saturday too. He went down for a nap and when she came to check on him he was gone in his sleep, no reason why. I've come to the conclusion there is nothing helpful I can say, but we are all here to listen if you need it.

I'm prepped for my hard cold week of way below normal, frigid for here temps 🥴 physically, at least. Yes, winter but -- 🤨

Two warm milk bottles out with me, called and both babes ran to me. Done. Filled hay racks for the goats who were "starving". Kids ran around, wildly, nibbled hay...decided the shed with sun streaming in was more fun. Off they went, like an Olympic relay race. Jumping, twisting, enjoying life.🥰 kindergartners!

Beautiful sunny day. Cold. Tolerable with no big winds.

Any construction, heavy equipment, semi, tool expos going on in Texas anytime soon. I'm burned out. Taking the business truck.
Ya' know there's a good bunch of Texans here -- maybe time to do the rounds of BYH folks who could use your skills. ;)

Went out for anniversary dinner last night. I ordered the "Heritage Porkchop" -- It was DEELISH - I mean the best ever. So of course I had to ask "...what breed?" (thinking yeah right the regular diner asks this ha ha ha) it was Mangalica -- OMG it was the best. $$ but now I know. LOL should've asked if they were interested in local lamb!!
Was a member of the 3:30 club - but then I thought heck that's nothing 'cuz the rest of you all were either at 5:30 or 6:30 so what the heck was I going to complain about .
Got a notice from the power company, they may be shutting power down Monday-Wednesday -- "severe wind event". I'd rather they shut things down than wait and see. Is it a pain - heck yeah, but it sure beats the alternative. We choose to live here so we have to bow down to Mother Nature as needed.
