Worked 2 "shifts" yesterday, so home today 😁. Got all my errands & shopping done....feed, etc. milk, these 3 bottle kids are killing the wallet! Brings you to a new appreciation of moms milk. Work tomorrow, then done until next week. Good thing I can set my own schedule.

Really warm today, 67 right now. I'm loving it. There is a 15-18 mph steady wind 🥴 but I won't complain much, just hang on as I work out there. Calm & warm rest of week. It'll be good. I've suggested to the girls still holding hostages that this would be a good week to let go. Plus, 2 are my milkers & I'd like some of it! 🫣

3:30 club and I actually stayed up till 10:00 last night without falling asleep in my recliner. First cup of coffee, it’s good. It’s 65F high of 70F today, 90% chance of rain. It’s been a drizzly week. Just enough to take all the fun out of playing outside and turn it into drudgery.
A friend borrowed my flatbed trailer and my 3-way hitch to haul hay to his cows before the rains started. Called me yesterday to tell me it was in a safe place and he’d bring it back when it dried out a little. He was concerned about tearing up the pasture, trying to put it back where he got it.
Been trying to get a load of dirt delivered since last Saturday, just enough rain to interfere. Hopefully tomorrow or the next day.

Hey guys, not even sure the last time I was here.
Been busy starting my next adventure.
Was up this morning to run (listened to NBC the entire run), breakfast now, then a long day of work, but that's what I signed up for. Going to take a weekend trip back to Laramie, so I am excited for that.
Prayers to everyone in DC, sad news from last night.

So brain decided to wake me up at 1am. I'm binging more episodes
I grab an old iPad -- no net on it -- and play a few games of solitaire! Usually 10-15 mins & I'm sleepy.

Fed bottle babes...had help by a friends 3 yr old...he fed one, while I did other two. He was giggling with excitement. Then fed goats & horses. One mini mare not with other 3. Went looking. Found her dazed and lethargic. Went back to house, got meds & back to dose her. Some nasal sounds so, with weather could be touch of pneumonia... ?? Heavy dose of biotics and watch close. More meds tonight and stall her. Weather good today so out & moving is best right now. Of course, she was at back of field, so I made several walks to & from. 😊 got my steps in.

Having 2nd cup just now. With happenings, too late to start job work and I need to keep watching mare. So move jobs to tomorrow and do farm work. At least the constant winds of yesterday are gone! That helps.

I've always noticed that alot of the fires around here start...... late afternoon/night when it's cold. To me it makes sense that the fires are probably started as "campfires", by those who live in canyons (not in houses). There are A LOT of people in the canyons.
So - today I read this in the local news:
HEADLINE:

Arson investigators confirm Rancho Bernardo brush fire sparked from homeless encampment

followed by:
Data obtained by ABC 10News shows between January and part of Nov. 2024, there were more than 900 fires likely started by an unhoused individual
Huh. Guess I've been on the right track in my thinking.
