Almost done with first up. Dressed for 26 out there for bottles, feeding, rush in to change clothes & off to work. Things crammed in to schedule from snow days last week. Think I'm doing 67 hrs this week. Yep, gonna be a hard week 😵‍💫 at least down to 1 bottle a day with plenty of other feeds eaten. It'll be 1/2 bottles starting tomorrow. Time to wean, I'm glad.

Have a great day everyone! Warming to mid 50s here👍
YIKES!!!! That is a LOT of hours. I don't know how you're doing it plus all the farm work too. 😵‍💫

28 overnight, already up to 40 at 8 a.m.. Sun is out... 50's and low 60's for the next couple of days. There is still some snow in the front yard but it ought to be gone by this evening. At least it will start drying out in the pastures a little, better for getting around. It will be slick today. Got one farm scheduled, another called to test next week as they just changed silo's, the analysis on the silage is low in energy, so they are adjusting the feed and the cows are off milk. So less "push" to get them in. So this is good... will spread things out again.

Giant slushy outside and will be for the next couple of weeks as the snow melts and the frozen ground defrosts. For the love of God people, warm spells in the winter time does NOT push cold further into the soil. It's called latency effect, the cold air is still pushing deeper into the soil long after it warms up.
Never heard this myth till I got here, must be something to do with something in the water.

High of 48°F, so warm I'm going to wear some lederhosen to work, better than wearing a kilt. :gig

On second cup. 53-76 here today - that's WAY TOO warm for this time of year. 😶 The greenery we got from those two rainy days - ~2 inches is already starting to fade.:(. Lizards are out and about and that means the snakes as well. Several reports of the noisy snakes in the last week 😧😵‍💫 putting a crimp in what we do here.
Going to go check out a ewe someone has - she only has one and thinks it needs friends as her goats and other critters weren't cutting it. DH was the original contact and that's about all I know. No idea the breed, age, etc. Will know later this morning.

Yes! Big OT.....spending to pay off the hay bill

Home & relaxing a few before I change & do chores. 60* right now. So much nicer than last week. 😋 Yep, thinking water tote season is done, maybe. No ice this morning.

I work by the job. Jobs have hrs assigned. I get pd for those hrs, even if I do the work in less time. It is my goal to complete in 50-60% of hrs being pd. Mostly I do that. Jobs are repetitious, so I could do same reset in 5 different stores & #1 is slower but 2-5 are on "speed dial" 😁 I'll spend about 35-38 hrs for actual work this week. If stores are low stock, that's a bonus! Less to move. Plus I set my own schedules & can change 80% with a few button taps on my phone. Reports are done at stores with pics, mgr signatures, etc, phone app. Just accept job & go do. 🤷😉

I have assigned stores where all their jobs come to my portal, then I can add any other jobs for additional stores listed, needing work done by "self assign", pick a job & day to do. Flex is good.
