Coffee anyone ?

Up late, 7 something. Made coffee, made list to do. Fed outside cats, wind was COLD. I decided to forego yard work for errands this morning. Harbor Freight had pond pumps at more than half off. I needed one, got a spare. Aldi's had ground beef (80/20) half price, picked up 3 plus one for a coworker. Stopped at Ace Hardware, looking for empty chain buckets (perfect nesting boxes!) but none were empty. Manager gave me his card, said to call in a week to check.

Rained last night, barrels overfull. I need to set up something better.

Coffee is ready. Woke up at 3:40. I have a friend that likes to send me Reels from Facebook. At all kinds of hours, does he ever sleep? I do until the phone dings, sometimes I don’t wake up, sometimes I do.

There are some nice features on smart phones...

In my settings I have a do not disturb feature. I set it to start at 9:30pm and last until 9 am.

I can chose what is still heard when the do not disturb is on.

So, I still get texts and calls from close family, and all alarms.

It is VERY nice!

Obviously you are smarter than I am. My smart phone is smarter than I am. Ever wonder if they talk to each other?

Alaskan’s phone: my human has figured out all the cool things I can do and he makes me WORK all night, so he can sleep! What about ME??? I wanna sleep too!

Baymule’s phone: I’m so sorry you have it’s rough. I thought my human was a dummy, but now I’m kinda glad she’s not so smart. I hardly have to do anything! Ssh texts, takes pictures, lots of her lambs-they are so cute! And she gets on the internet and that’s about it. I feel sorry for you! I feel pretty lucky now with my dummy human!

Coffee brewed, am trying to wake up. I started reading a book at bedtime and it turned out to be really interesting. It was somewhere past 1am when I put down the book and turned off the light.

I cannot move the big piece of carpeting that smothered the garden area, it's just too heavy and unwieldy. I should have had it removed when the area was cleared, but I wanted to reuse it. Oh well. Frank the tree guy recommended his assistant for the job, and Chris he said he'd come by at 10.

@Weldman, yeah that happens here, too. Things look slack & bam, jobs pop up. Quit working is my only way to stop that My bank acct doesn't like that idea.

Sun is out. Nice, after a few days of little to none. Upper 60s again, that's all having morning brew. Checked on new kids a little after midnight, all good. Both were nursing. I'll go hold them and snuggle them in a little while, some imprinting.

Haven't decided which list to work on today. Slept well & I'm allowing a gentle wake up now. I deserve it.

Technically I will be just there to babysit the shop for "just in case" emergency of anything breaking. Already broken stuff there, but it isn't an emergency.
So I'm going to bill them for the time to drive there, then work on building my service bed..

Back on February 28th they posted my job looking to replace me with cheaper labor and hoping to keep me on call for when SHTF (schit hits the fan) or 2 to 3 days a week cause I raised my rates and I'm too expensive. Yeah that ain't happening now, you get what you pay. It's no longer posted.
Cheap labor isn't skilled, skilled labor isn't cheap.
