For all my dislike of the GF situation here... she does not allow the kids to misbehave when she has the sister's 2 kids... and they don't do that kind of crap with my DS... and he is not related either.. But they also are not outside without someone being right near there all the time... on the farm here they know better... have been taught from time they could walk... Tough situation for your DS since it is not his... but his gf/grandma needs to be more in control of the kid when it is with her... As a grandparent, she could make a serious impression on the kid..... for the good... if she tried....
My DS will tell you that when he went to "grandma's house" (my parents) that you just didn't do bad things there.. you would get in trouble...biggest thing was it was a treat to go to stay at grandma's... so you didn't do anything that would take that privilege away from you... cause they got to do all sorts of fun things there too.. my mom was a very "hands on" grandparent.. and it was a treat to go there because they were "involved" with the kids.. and taught by example... but they also did fun things...
Bless you for only grabbing the arm and scolding... he's lucky he was not here...
