Ducks ate their feed I got them so that's going to be a drop in their food bill. PM showers, better hurry up and get the feed in the pole barn. Plenty of machinery to move it, the only machine that can put it where I want it exactly is currently down.
Got 4 tons so far, going for another 4 to 5 tons come next week. At this rate I might as well put a grain bin up, oh wait I got a few still. Grab what you can before they run out this week, after that got to wait till next year for more.

Different note, my dad made it home and using the ramp I built, without it he would be stuck indoors dying away. Problem is if left unattended he will end up doing stuff he shouldn't, step mom woke up to him mowing the lawn on the riding lawn mower. I would of like to have been there to seen that one as he struggled to get out the electric wheel chair and onto the lawn mower

You did good by building the ramp for your dad. He’s dying either way, so he might as well go outside and do something that makes he feel better about himself. Beats being shut inside and nothing to do. I’d say you are a good son. He may not have been a good father, but you are a good son.

52 to 78 today and cooling through the week. Very strange fog this morning. Heavy and thick watched it roll in - but unlike every other time in the last 6 years it came in from the north, not the west. Strange - go figure.
Busy day ahead post office pick up (wish they’d deliver packages here), irrigation supply store customer appreciation day, Sage has a mock search event, and the usual stuff plus things I forgot! 🤣

3am club for me. Sheepdogs were barking brutally. I spotlighted various areas, but didn’t see anything. Probably feral hogs, I see them occasionally. Spent the next two hours listening to The Dresden Files (the books not the awful tv series). I should try to up my audio book game but occasionally my Sci Fi inner nerd wins.

Did you finish them yet? I found the tv show to be funny and enjoyable (and did i mention funny?), but nothing like the books, which were a tad dark and adult for tv adaptation at the time...and not my favorites, but i still read them so I guess they were addicitive too. As a spoiler: I felt like the author could have done more with the world he set up but took the lazy route and stopped short. The world building in that series was the strong point rather than the plot, imo.

We installed a door chime so we could hear when Ron went outside.

Up at 5:30, normal work week time, so okay. Not coherent, threw fresh coffee grounds on top of yesterday's, oops.

Sitting here, coffee at hand. I'm stiff from yesterday, but no pain, which is a blessing. Church this morning, then I will attempt to finish the hoop coop build this afternoon. I am appreciating the cooler weather, even though it's a bit raw and chilly. Once the heat rolls in it's almost impossible to do any strenuous projects.

Oh, and my eldest granddaughter is 9 today! Wow, where does the time go?
:ep
