Won't have to worry about winter water for ducks in the Philippines, never freezes there!

Dogs were domesticated millenias ago to work and serve mankind. Whether it was herder cultures that stayed in place or ones that moved from spot to spot, the dogs were to protect man, herd, and possessions, not be pets. The working breeds that remain in countries with herds are very good at what they do and bred for what they do. Of course research is necessary for deciding which breed is suitable for ones needs.

Here in the US, we have coyotes in every state. They have adapted to cities, mankind, and thrive in urban or rural settings. Bears and cougars are also expanding territories and looking to eat farm animals as easier prey than wildlife. Proper layout, fencing, lighting, cameras, LGDs, and firearms and possibly traps are necessary tools to succeed if raising livestock. It is a gamble in making the decision to raise one's food or have animals.

Yeah. Duck seems to be fine. I am actually thinking of making like a man-made pond for the ducks. I hope they like it.
And on with the update... The man-made pond for the ducks looks promising... I bet the ducks will enjoy it so they won't wonder about too much, one more way to take care of them against predators... :D
