It's gonna be tender for a while. A lot of new tissue must developto cover that hole. As you saw, horn removal is an issue. For those reasons, mine have horns if the tissue wasn't burned off as babies. It is not a fun procedure even then but, safer and easier on the goat. At very young age, the horn tissue can be destroyed just below skin line.

I'm glad you got relief for him and that he's doing well now.

It appears to be healing pretty good. One of them is already covered over. The other side still has a soft spot, but it doesn’t seem to bother him. He head butted me for the first time the other night since his removal and he just looked up at me. I don’t think it felt very good for him. I notice he stopped head butting his brothers; he just nips at them now when they annoy him.

I am glad he is being careful with his wounds.
