I buy mine on amazon. Make sure it is food grade but you can get it at farm and feed stores usually @MrsKuhn I have used it for flea and tick prevention on my dogs for 2 years now as well as sprinkle it through the yard, I give in the water to prevent any mosquitoes from laying eggs or other parasites as well as sprinkle it in the pen to kill parasites and buggies. They should not breath it in though. Neither should you. I have read many studies showing it is not an effective wormer in ruminants but it has worked in my rabbits and dogs when given in yogurt, water or other soft foods.

Thank you @samantha draws I am trying to figure out what use to help keep out the smell in the chicken coop and then got to thinking about the goat dog houses and am trying to figure out what to use either Barn Lime or DE.( And yes I had to look up DE to figure out what the heck it meant )

It is ok to have to look things up! Thankfully the breeder I got my collie from told me about it and was able to "mentor" me on it and other natural remedies.

Awesome I will get it this weekend. I will order from Amazon probably in the future but I get the goats this weekend and want it on hand now. ( I know impatient lol )
I completely understand! I had mine on hand for the then two dogs and a 1# bag lasted a year... I have already been through .5 pounds of the bag and nearly an entire 10 pound bag in a year. I don't put the DE in their water here during the winter since it is so dang cold but it certainly helps keep the buggies out of their water otherwise. I also dusted them when they came out of the barn for the spring/summer because most everyone in my area had mite issues in their goats and it was still too cold to bathe them. I haven't had any mites, fleas or lice but I will dust periodically after long dry spells or long wet ones. Just to make sure.

Just as an aside, DE will do nothing for smell... It is not an "absorbative"... just saying. For odor, many use a product called sweet PDZ http://www.tscshops.com/bci-1x667695.html as it absorbs ammonia...

The DE you pictured @MrsKuhn does NOT state food grade... I don't think you really want/need the bentonite (anti clumping for food packaging)... might I recommend (or similar): https://www.diatomaceousearth.com/5...ceous-earth/?gclid=CJCKhIDO6cwCFZCIaQodFLkCNQ more bang for the buck, and food grade.
