The lambs are looking great and hardy. We haven't had any complaints for awhile now and it's still fun.

We brought the sheep in and spent a good bit of time deciding who goes and who stays so we can make a run to the sale on Monday. We are planning on putting the ram back in with the ewes in a couple of weeks. We have two ram lambs that look so good that we are going to hang on to them to see how they fill in for a bit longer. We are retaining 8 of the ewe lambs but culling one of the yearling ewes.

How much rain did you get out of the last storm this past week? It sure didn't give us much here... couple of tenths.

We didn't get much other than a couple of sprinkles out of this last cell. Wind brought down a couple of trees that fortunately fell away from the fence rather than on it.

It looks like we will be taking 14 sheep to the sale tomorrow. One of the ewes is a registered 2018 ewe but she has never been what we want in our base flock and although she is a sweetie, she has had her time here and has required constant worming. That ewe had a set of twin rams that were about as perfect as I have seen and we are going to grow out one of them for sale. The other made a point of looking me in the eye and then head butting my hand that was laying on the chute. Not just once, but repeatedly. That kind of attitude I don't need and not especially in a 6 week old ram.

At 6 weeks old and trying to kill your hand, nope! Gotta go! He got an early start at being a jerk.
