Darkie lost 2 kits, 1 Mia, other culled for failure.
Runt from Yynx litter is gone. Definitely will cull asap any future runts, not worth the false hope.
Using widy to feed one of Darkie kits that isn't getting enough milk. Hoping it can fatten up enough to punch out others for a teat in a week or so.
Swapped Goliath with Baymax cage. Hoping the change next to another buck, Jasper, gets him more serious about does.
And got the rest of the posed pics for that one kit that refused.



$74 in the red. Minus 545 in feed.

Currently $619 in the red.




Moved some kits to even out space and water. Moved choc buck to cull cage.

Wish there was some kind of washable, reusable fake hay, that they wouldn't eat!
Darkie ate everything, even the fur. They were huddled, fully exposed on the bottom left corner.
Dumped nest and rebuilt it with new hay and fur.
On the plus side, that kit getting extra feedings is now keeping up with the others.

Still waiting on the person who wanted capes.

Moved Hamlet to cull cage.

Since lambing will start at the end of March, I had to clean up the barn! Also got the auto water setup and flowing. Left some bowls for drips and for ones that don't know what they are to hopefully be lured over to figure it out. Opened more of the walls to get more air, too. Still freezing nights, so not fully open yet.

Culls. Grow outs. Rivian. Water bin for Rivian & grow outs. Don't have excess tubes or nips to extend to the cull cage.

Already figuring out the nips!

Dang - you were sooo close to being in the black - but the you went and bought more feed. GEEZE!! I'm enjoying following your dinner rabbits.

I like Goliath. He looks like velvet! Now, that brown with tan around eyes...that's an ugly bunny. Yeah, that feed kills us every time! Hay,too.

And hay hasn't been good quality this year, in general. Still costly.

Saturday
Two nips were leaking like crazy. Back to bowls for those.
Ordered new nips.
Ordered some new resting mats, too.

Yesterday
Grow outs escaped. Guess who didn't eat them? The GPs.

Got them back in, to their dismay.

And other grow outs moved in bc they keep destroying everything. Added a hung board to block hopper access.



Xoh didn't get bred. Culled her. Very fat. Trying to get new, better stock, so junk has to go! Hamlet also was culled.

Tipsy & Aqua got nests yesterday. Aqua pulled tons of fur! Tipsy pulled some. Hoping that means they'll be great first time moms.


And got 5 nests lined and hay filled for the next buns due for a nest on Thursday.
The Goliath ones probably didn't produce anything, didn't see any real falloff.

They don't really allow poop through. But 1/2×1" also doesn't. Someone really needs to make new floor wire!

Clips hardly hold wire. Not worth the hassle.
