As I'm thinking over the math, two 4×6ft doors would be easier. Since plywood is sold as 4×8ft. I'd just cut off 2ft from the tops. Still tons of airflow.

Here’s a thought, what about 3 four foot doors? Then you wouldn’t have to cut the third piece of plywood in half. You would have the middle 4’ door for year round use, and be able to raise the two side ones for extra ventilation in the heat and it could go directly to the rabbits’ cages w/o the 2’ fixed sides blocking it. Of course, there may be reasons I don’t know about why you want more than the 4’ opening in the center. Machinery access maybe?

Oh, I misunderstood. I thought they would be hanging from the chains and raised and lowered as needed. Now I see that you would be attaching them at the sides to swing outwards like normal doors. I guess the 3rd middle door would require a vertical post of some sort to hinge to if you wanted the side walls to be openable instead of fixed. That adds complication.

So tiring trying to use ground anchors. They're all a b*tch and honestly, impossible for me to get right. Idk why nor do I care.
I'm going back to what I always end up using, tposts. Just gotta buy 6 more, found 2 and there's 2 more I can pull up and reuse. Will put one for every single leg. They'll go on the inside so not to be in the way of the walls.

Gotta go up another block to be level broadside....Do I really want to bother...Maybe I'll shovel out the other side instead...ugh.

20×36ft? Tposts keeping it from flying away. Other carports, tposts. Temp shelters, tposts. Shade tarps, tposts. Idk, they seem to work and boy are they easy to get in!

😵‍💫 Va weather is absurd. Freezing at night, 80s and no clouds during the day. 😵‍💫
Half of the tposts are in! One cable attached.

Put them in even deeper after the pic, 5ft posts, 3ft in ground.

Lost that rod...and now i remember what happened to the last one. The crap metal the duckbill is made of fails and the rod goes through it, getting stuck. 🙄

Almost done with the roof! Windy as heck today. Needs 5 more anchor ties....
Got the worst tree out of the way. It was an impossible drop, should of noticed before starting on the carport, but no damage done.

And guess who walked up looking super preggo?? Carport is now for her and calf, since it's almost winter. I'll try to get the other one up or clear out the barn and move her and Tanzie into the barnyard if possible. First timer, always a fatty, finally going to calve. Gotta look up when she was with the bull. This recent time was scheduled for June/July calves, so that's not it!

One roof panel left. Had to open the side kit bag of screws. These things majorly suck! Stores sell the same one or one that looks like a regular screw. 🫠 How are they any better? People reviewed to buy your own self drilling screws, but I'm not finding better ones.

Also reorganized my scrap pile. There's 4 super long, a few minimal to no nails and a bunch with tons of nails. I'll be trying to use the clean ones first.

And some scrap plywood I'll try to use for the gable tops at the least.

Lastly, composite decking I also salvaged. Will use it for my walkway in the new building.
