do girls try to mate girls?

i have dutches. i thought one was a girl and one was a boy. i had them both in a box while i was cleaning the cage and the "girl" mounted the other. there about 5 months. so i was wondering if they could both be girls. if they are boy and girl is she to young to have babys. will i be able to tell if shes pregrent? thanks

Yes, my two girl rabbits have done this while together. Normally one will try 'mate' the other, and then they start fighting. And I'm 100% certain they are both girls

Unless there is a hormone imbalance it isn't a sexual thing. One is trying to show dominance over the othe and the other one isn't accepting second place. They'll eventually sort out who's dominant.

some does in season will try to "breed" the other. Since they are about 5 months of age and a small breed, I would say she is ready to be a mommy! check her "lady parts" ... she is probably full of colors.

Not uncommon in many species ... dogs to cattle ... just the reproductive sex drive.
