I don't like giving rabbits injections unless there's no other choice. Ivermectic given orally is very effective for rabbits.

I just dosed my does with mineral oil in their ears. One of them had one really gunky ear...it actually bled a little when I cleaned it with a swab. What is the interval again for dosing with mineral oil? Is it two weeks? and only 2-3 drops?

Also do your rabbits really shake their heads when you dose them? All three of mine did that - not serious, but just checking to see if its normal.

Yes shaking the head is a normal reaction to oil in the ear. You can get pretty splattered with oil yourself if you don't get them back in the cage fast enough.If you can find some oil with either/or menthol or eucalyptus oil in it it works even better.
