you could use that but you really need to enclose one end of it to keep wind snow and rain off the goats, don't know anything about cows but goat do not like to stand in rain blowing or direct. and they need lots more grazing and exercise room.

I keep my sheep in that exact dog kennel, and it works fine. I built a solid roof for it and stretched a large tarp over two sides. The only problem I've had with the kennels themselves is that you'll need to run a bolt through the latch to keep it in place, or they'll be able to push the door open by rotating the latch. My sheep are all >100lbs and even the smallest could open the door with almost no effort. Once I ran a bolt through the latch to stop it rotating, I haven't had a problem with anyone escaping.

We are actually in the process of buying a two car carport and running tin all the way down on 3 sides and making it a new barn for us, cause ours is falling apart and way to wet for our goats now! Using wire panels to make stalls for the goats when kidding and making an area blocked off just for feed and hay. May be more than what you'd want to do but its an idea!!
