This is my show wether for this year. He's not registered or anything, just bought from a local breeder for 4-H shows. I didn't go to the breeder and buy him. The 4-H club leader did because our usual breeder was short wethers this year. I picked him Sunday. This picture is from this afternoon

Do you think he looks good for three months old? Keep in mind that I'm about 5'6

ETA: Code didn't work, so here is the link itself.

Thanks to everyone!!

I don't know a ton about judging meat goats, but he looks nice to me. Very attractively built, good size, lots of meat on his bones.

There is such a difference between the body shape of meat vs milk goats!

He looks good. Nice even topline, solid hindquarters and solid legs.

I prefer those steeper-faced boers though some other's disagree with me. That is going to depend on the judge.

Thanks everyone! I thought he looked pretty good but its always best to ahve more than one opinion. Now I just have to get him tame... by tame I mean not running from me. This could take awhile.

I've never owned a meat goat, but I like him! Congrats and best of luck!

Thanks!!

So far he's doing great. He hated the ride over and was spooky afterwards but within about 30 minutes he was good. Through out the day he's became more people friendly like the wether from the other breeder. I think feeding has something to do with it haha
