Nice shack! Have you wintered over goats yet? If so what's your set-up for them during the winter? I'm thinking as long as the space is draft free and bedding is available they would be fine with no heat like the chickens and rabbits. How about some inside shots...

Ha, I thought...what awesome playground...till I see the prints...rabbit's winter cage. Still, you have a very nice set up there. Good job!

Looks nice - happy goats!

As a fellow Minnesotan - what do you have for a door on it?
We installed a dutch door on the back exit of our barn out to the pasture. Perfect for the colder days as it cuts the opening in half but still lets them go in and out...also having it being a south facing door - they sun in the doorway in the winter.

It's a plywood door, same as the walls. I just keep it open in summer for ventilation. Hubby is going to split the door in half. We have a screen window that closes to the upper part of the door.

No. This will be my first year. You are right tho. they will be fine so long as they have a draft free shelter. I will take pics of the inside later.

Thank you! We are surrounded with trees all the way around our property. Total privacy! Love it. :p

If it was my goat shed, I would put up at least a partial wall on the inside of the studs. When the goats get crazy, or just from over time - they can push out the walls as the boards are on the outside of the studs (from the inside of the shed). Hope that makes sense!:)
It will also protect and preserve the outer walls from manure, urine, etc.
