Hello!
I’m new here, but looking for some guidance or opinions. We have a Anatolian shepherd male and a great pyrenees female. Our gp just turned one, lives full time on the farm with our male and we have had no issues up until a week ago. All of our chickens and ducks free range and she’s been with them for a while. But last week she went after one of our ducks and injured it and then today she killed one. I don’t really know why all of a sudden she has started doing this. She completely ignores the chickens. Our male does not join in and we have not had issues with him. Just wondering your thoughts and if our only options is to rehome her.

She is in her stupid stage. Separate her from the poultry. She probably will grow out of it. Put her on a leash and walk her through the poultry, scold if she even looks at them. Supervised time with poultry only! Put the work in, training her to leave them alone. Praise when she does good.

Some dogs are excellent with poultry, some are not. Put the training in, it may take time. Large dogs are still puppies until 2 years old.
