You can add me, I'm just south of St. Albans. Just 16 chickens at the moment, 9 are June 2012, 7 are June 2015. Only the latter are currently laying but the older girls have historically kicked back into gear mid-late February.

Been pondering LGD for my girls, I have space but no decent fencing.

I know, I read a number of threads she is posting in on the subject :) LateStarter sent me some info in a PM responding to mine (since I "know" him from BYC) inquiring about the dog he got from her. I've read enough of his posts there to know he is a smart and trustworthy guy. But I'm not saying anything you all don't already know ;)

Okay, makes sense. I used to be in BYC. I do that to every person that mentions getting one.

Is your motel like a bed-n-breakfast, or larger? Is the bakery a separate building too or incorporated in the motel?
I just wondered if it is anything like "Newhart"
Sounds like you have a lot going on to keep you busy. Enjoy your chickens and eventually your wool from the Angora's

Our motels are like separate units - we call them cabins. The bakery in in the main building that has the store, and the motel office. With all these businesses in one, we really do keep ourselves busy! Its rewarding, but can be very tiring too.
