Welcome from Indiana.
Blessings on your daughter and your family!
I figured you guys were from TN with the screen name until you mentioned NY.
With all the herds it sounds like you're missing some LSGD too. Lol
We raise meat rabbits to reduce the amnt of meat needed to buy. We no longer buy chicken or hardly any pork. It is hard to pass up on loin or pork steaks occasionally and I will still buy some nice bone-in roasts for community barbecue in the Fall.
There is lots of information and good folks on here to learn from, and it will be nice to hear your activities and methods too.
Welcome from the NY mountains, too!!! Thats quite the menagerie. All your animals are beautiful! Your dog that I'm assuming is a husky mix looks just like the dog of one of my friends. What kind of rabbits do you have? I have Dutch rabbits, and a dog(shepherd mix).
Hi neighbor! We are up in the Heldeberg mountains outside Albany.
Duke aka doodlebug is a husky/Shepard
Mix.
I have a Rex buck 3 Rex does and a NZ doe. The Rex's are Peter Flopsy Mopsy and Cottontail and the NZ is Ella for Cinderella -
Our toddler named them. and the cows are Gus and Jack. Lol
Cool! I'm a little bit north of you, near Lake Champlain. "Doodlebug". Thats a cute name. My friends dog is a husky/akkita mix. The shelter i got my dog from said mine was a husky/GS mix, but thats what they say for almost every dog there. He looks more Australian shepherd. Rex rabbits are cool. I've got the same combination, only Dutch instead of Rex. I thought about Mini rex before deciding on Dutch. Flospsy, Mospy, and Cottonatail are adorable names. My mom wanted me to name my rabbits that.
