Pretty sheep. What goat breeds did you have?

Those all black chickens 🤣 what color are the eggs? Lovely color on the Ketawa roo. A showoff!👍

I have dairy & meat -- Saanen, Nubian, Boer. 😁
My flock is mixed, Marans, RIR, Orpington, plus a small flock of purebred Creme Legbar.
😂 Chicken lovers love to showoff! You have some nice breed chickens. I had Pigmy goats for pets and they were my first. Thanks! I love goats too and trying not to visit the neighbors ranch for that reason. I won’t be able to control my self, I‘ll be coming home with a few 🤣

This will be your first lambing? How exciting! Be sure to post lots of pictures! Your ewes are pretty. I started with 4 Dorper and Katahdin crosses and a Dorper ram. I decided I liked the Katahdins better and switched to a Katahdin ram. I still have one of my original ewes, she is 9 years old, in October, she will be 10. Do you have livestock guard dogs?

I love your chickens. I’ve heard the laughing roosters on YouTube videos, they are amazing. This is a friendly forum with lots of nice people.
Not yet but thinking of getting one in the future. We currently have 3 dogs. A Lab/Rottie mixed, American Akita and a medium size, the craziest one of all three. My Akita is a great guard dog always aware of his surroundings but he is also a giant teddy bear. He’s more of a people dog. He’s owner died from Covid and I adopted him. He loved this breed but I don’t know much about it. Luckily, he is not aggressive at all.

Although the meat and bones are black, their eggs are not black. It’s more of a pinkish color. The same color as the Ketawa.

Thank you 😊 What did you feed to your Dorper and how do you prevent them from bloating? I bought dewormer, penicillin injection and other supplies from Valley vet before I got my sheep. I wanted to be preferred.

The only time that bloat might be a problem was when the clover was ready to graze on the spring. I put out plenty of baking soda.

I had a ewe bloat once, I drenched her with mineral oil and made her get up and walk-for HOURS. I drenched her several times until she was farting and mineral oil ran out her butt. LOL The main thing was keeping her moving so the mineral oil could do its work.
