I pen my ewes every night. It just makes me feel better.
Sorry about the baby. There will be losses. It hurts, you second guess yourself and sometimes you grieve and cry. But the other side of loss, is the joys you experience, watching lamb races, ewes running to you because you accessorized your runway farm outfit with a feed bucket. As sad as the losses are, the glad parts are better and there’s more of them.

That mama also is struggling with mastitis too on the left side of her udder of course. Vet gave me some injectable anti inflammatory meds and antibiotics just in case and she seems to be doing better
Waiting on my last pregnant ewe now, don’t know what she’s waiting on but I do wish she would hurry up
we could use some more lamb joy around here

Yep, beached whale is right. When those lambs are born, give them a hug from their Aunt Baymule.

Will do!! She had a big udder change today and her girly parts are very pink today, but around her tail head isn’t squishy yet

Is the ewe with poss mastitis milkable? Emptying the udder helps. Yes, she'll make more but no/ little nursing will stop that process.
