8pm- I successfully shoved Hera's medicine down her throat without getting bit. Head was swabbed with chlorohexidine then the prescription spray was applied.
Is she food driven? Would chicken nuggets help? You cut a slit in the long end and slip the pill in. More pills=more nuggets. Cheapest pill pocket out there.

She fights more with medicine stuck in food. 🤷‍♀️ Best has been putting the pill as far back on tongue as possible and dropping in several pieces of normal kibble. She has learned the more she fights the more likely I'm accidently going to step on a paw or tail. Not fun but we are surviving.

Carson’s predecessor, Parker, also was a big black Labrador/Great Dane. He was all about food and treats. Parker would take our fingers with the treat so we learned rather quickly to toss it to him. His jaws snapped shut like an alligator. So the treat command became Alligator!

Alligator! Toss treat, jaws snapped shut, I don’t think he even knew what he swallowed. Pills, easy! Just say Alligator and toss the pill and it was down the hatch. Then he got a real treat.

Anatolians? Oh, forget it!
