Herd Master
Hello, Dee from NW Indiana. We currently have a small herd of mini horses, mini donkeys, small flock of chickens and am in the process of getting of herd of herd sheep (mixed breed, with horns), 2 mutts and 7 kitties, oh and gold fish for our stock tanks....
Am interested in becoming more self sustainable, I've been "forced" into a SAHM position due to relocating for my DH job. BUT I LOVE that I'm home with my little ones. We have always had a vegetable garden but this summer we amped it up and had a few extra veggies to sell and have a freezer and pantry full of our own produce! Besides the hair sheep we are hoping to raise some meat chickens next year. We are in the process of building a chicken coop/feed shed and it's about 70% recycled material. I am also going to start my own veggies next year and maybe sell some locally. Really trying to find a niche where I can help the family financially while being home.
