I posted a desperation question before introducing myself! I'm Kim and have two backyard Nigerians and four Welsh Harlequin ducks. So far we just get eggs - at the time of this intro, our goat girls are hopefully bred and we'll be in eggs AND milk by the end of January. It's been a wonderful experience - we love our goats, who are quite spoiled :). We got them as bottle babies from Camanna in Oregon, so they're very, very friendly. Ducks not so much! I made the mistake of not handling them very much when they were new, as I'd read too much handling could stress them, so while they're super amusing, they're not poultry who ever want to be picked up. They are not pleased when we hold them to, say, take care of bumblefoot.

Anyway, that's my little backyard herd - glad to be here :)

Love our little Nigerians, too and hope to breed them! Looking forward to seeing you on the goat forum (hopefully answering my future questions - I'm new, too!)
