Sorry I haven't said welcome before now. I am a "cow person" also. We have a commercial cow calf operation like you, mostly angus and crosses. Herefords get discounted here so try to not have any hereford calves to sell, but have several hereford cows that we breed to our angus bulls. The bwf or black baldies as they are called here, sell good. Now of course there is the "black hereford" but....... we also have several red cows, a few are red polls, and some limousin crosses and a few charolais crosses.. We sell feeder calves and keep a few for beef sales also.
I moved south to Va from Ct in 1981..... like the warmer weather here and still have the 4 seasons, but the winters are shorter than up there for the most part.
Hope you have been doing okay with the winter weather... ours has been wet and temps have been very up and down.... I will be glad to see spring.
