Hello, I have posted already but I will introduce myself anyways! I have had goats in the past and they were lots of fun, so starting either this fall or next spring I am going to start the adventure again! I am now stuck deciding on whether I want to do goats or mini cows(Zebu!) and hopefully, with the help of this forum(And the awesome people who are on it) I will make the right choice!

Thanks, Gerbil

Welcome & nice 'chatting' with you (again).
Is there a reason you cant do a little of both?

Money and space, 3 acres, more than half of it is heavily wooded the rest is big open grassy field. If only I could do both......

:welcome

My goats live in a heavily wooded area and the cows get the fields (we have herefords, though). It just means that the goats get hay year round instead of taking the spring-fall off to eat pasture. When we hay the front field, that hay is stored for the goats.

Welcome!

I may be biased because I have goats but....

The wooded half of your property will not be useful to cows. Goats however can make use of the entire area. I would recomend goats because you could get more use out of the small area you have.
