Big ole mules are really great. Our mules are out of my MFT mares. They're reg MFT but have a lot of TWH bloodlines. Our jack is a mammoth type that is 14.1 or 14.2 hands. He's registered ADMS and just the sweetest fella. I just love his foals, we don't raise many and have just one mule foal due in early March 2010.

Here is "my boy", Five Hills Tornado Joe (aka TJ).

Well isn't he handsome?! :love

I love mammoth jacks! When I was a farrier, I used to trim a pair of mammoth jacks. Their hooves were like cinder blocks!! They were soooooo sweet!!

I love his name "Tornado Joe"!

He's such a good boy......most of the time. He has a habit of "occasionally" getting out, over the fence on the north side of our property. It's on a gravel road and very little traffic but we can't seem to figure out where he's getting over. I'm probably going to have to put a hot wire across that whole side.

I don't know why exactly he does it cause he comes right down the road, then down our long driveway and is in a panic to be put back in with the others. He runs ahead of me and waits at the gate to be let back in. If I can figure out why he's doing it, maybe I can correct the issue, :p

He came rambling down the driveway today and nearly caused the dogs to have a heart attack, they evidently didn't see him coming and at 16 hands, he's a big ole mule to come traveling past you when you're not paying attention. Luckily, he's not one of those mules that likes to kill dogs.

Here is our Jack, Five Hills Bocephus. He isn't TJ's sire. TJ was our last mule foal before Tank died (twisted gut).

Bo has given us some excellent mule foals too and several from outside mares.
