The dates after the "junior does" and "senior does" tells the birth date range eligible for ea. class...a jr. doe is typically any who haven't freshened, but again, it depends on how ea. class is sanctioned.

Oberhalsi sometimes don't have enough entries to make a sanctioned show, some breeders I know take 6 - 8 does, even their 'clunkers' just to make enough to get a show sanctioned by having enough does in the class.

There are never enough Nubians here to make a class of their own. They get entered in the All Other Breeds class. So they go up against Saanens, Toggs, Alpines....you get the idea.

I am 48 years old. I wanted to do the job right, so I siged up for a 4H Showmanship class. I was the only adult and that was OK. I learned I had to wear all white, to keep the doe between me and the judge, how to gait her and do that little up and back thing when the Judge wants to cpmpare two does together.

Don't be afraid to hit up your local 4Hers. They really don't mind a grown up!
