Sounds like ya are fairly close to Boone, over there....beautiful country for sure. I used to be a truck driver and have picked-up and delivered in that area a few times...I traveled the Gorge quite a bit east and west. I have cut thru from Hickory to Elizabethton, too.
What kind of ducks and chickens? There are many members from NC on here, most are further east of ya and south. They have many different animals, but their main focus is on goats. There are many that are members here that do have meat, show, and pet rabbits. I have no help I can offer ya with finding process places over there, but sure do wish ya Luck in finding the right situation for ya and your family.
