Hey, so im starting in breeding netherland dwarfs, and I'm wondering if I can keep them in an insulated garage in winter in Nebraska with the babies. What is the best nesting material for warmth and some nice nesting box ideas. TIA

What temps do you keep the garage at? Netherlands ideally like 50-70F, and if you're going to be breeding, I would say the warmer end of that range. As to nesting materials, hay. You don't want anything in the box that can't be eaten. For a box, you can DIY with large shoeboxes, but they WILL chew them apart. I like steel boxes. Sturdy, secure, easy to clean when your litter has been weaned. I like the ones KW cages sells, and for a Netherland they're about 20 bucks a piece.
