Yes, she has her hands busy with a new orphaned calf that is having a rough time of it. Poor thing.

So, I was thinking about making half milk, half replacer for the calf tonight!
BUT, there are no mixing instructions!
The back of the bag is blank and there is no tag on the bag!

Good thing I didn't get around to freezing more of the colostrum!

There should be a cup in the bag. If you can find it, use one cupful to two quarts warm water. If you can't find it, it's generally 10-12 ounces of milk replacer to two quarts water. As she gets a little older you will need to increase the water.

That's kinda what I thought! I dug out a big cup instead of a little cup, like they had when I had bottle babies before!
You know, back in the olden days!

She got up this morning! Both back legs were a little curly.
By this afternoon, only one back leg was a little curly!
We let her wander around the yard for awhile, she did pretty good!
After dinner we are HOPING she will walk to her new home!
(neither of us have the umph to carry her)

I am sure the dogs would love to have their house back!

:ya Way to go! I would suggest letting her have plenty of room to roam until she gets those feet and legs well and truly under her. :thumbsup
