Currently I've been breeding the cross between a NZW and a cali. I've always wanted a Flemish doe in my herd, but I don't keep animals that don't produce for me. My buck is a Cali, and I only have room for one buck. Would this cross make a good meat rabbit?

The babies would be pretty decent, decent enough I think to warrent getting a Flemish doe. The babies will be bigger, but will take a longer time to reach that size. They'll also have a poorer dressout of meat versus bone. They will have better quality as a meat animal than a pure Flemish though, because the Cal would introduce a more compact and solid body.

Thanks! That's just what I needed! Now I'm off to tell the hubby I'm gonna go to the sale and see if I can get one!
