You are already thinking about the best time for your ewes to have their lambs. I’d call that pretty good management.

I’m lambing now, have several due day before Christmas, Christmas Day and day after Christmas. Not what I planned! I have another group due in February. Was trying to have them lamb a couple of months ago.

I’m located in East Texas. February is usually the coldest month. We might get a couple of weeks of 20F degree weather, but overall our winters aren’t too bad.

Found myself a little piece of heaven up here in the mountains. No way I could have pulled this off in the states with regulations, cost of living, building and land prices.
