Wow! I really wish our guilts did this! It sure would save some room in the barns and turn outs!

I have 1 LB with nine 2 day old piglets and a sow who is currently at 5 piglets (Think she's finished :( ) in the morning the piglets and sows will be together
Cornish recommended we try this method a while back and last summer we had 3 sows go within a couple of days so our piglets were feeding off any sow who happened to be lying down
They must be close aged otherwise the bigger ones take all the milk

Yes 7 days is about the limit, maybe 10 if you are really careful - depends on how vigorous the piglets are. Enjoy those piggies Royd :) Is it cold up there?

Thanks for the 7 days tip I knew it wasn't many days They are all together today and all is good under a heat lamp in the barn but cant wait to see piglets being born in the woods again this coming summer
