I have a doe who had twins last week, sadly, I lost both twins... All the doe has done for the past few days I scream and look for them... I am loving on her and giving her lots of attention but she is so pitiful.. Is there anything I could do to help her through the grieving process...

Sorry about the babies. Is she your only goat or does she have friends? I don't know what to suggest as far as her losing her kids, just that goats don't do well alone.

I lost twin sheep this year, I put them in a wagon and let all the sheep smell them. Their momma took almost two hours with them, nudging them, baa baaing at them and smelling them. It seemed to help her.

I might be wrong, but maybe breed her back soon so she takes her mind off the lost babies.

If you have any other kids sometimes you can get them to take one. At first you might have to hold her to let them nurse but after a few days she may just accept them. I don't leave them alone in any small pens until I know that she likes them. Sorry about losing the kids and listening to mama makes it even worse.

The mother was with them for a while before I found them... So she had time to at least see them and know they are gone...

I have nine goats total.. she is in with 3 others at this moment as the others are up for kidding... I also have cattle and a donkey In there with them... I try to give her as much attention as I can because I know she needs it... I just feel so bad for her..
